A nice year. Many good friends having fun was a major plus.
Being relaxed and not showing off my wares was nice for a change. Next year it will be back to normal and then some.
Hamming around and having fun as Rick O'Connel from the Mummy 3 this year. I had great fun sharing the con with my long ago college roommate from Baltimore, Rob, and his first attended con. Everyone kept calling him a virgin. Guess that means first con, cus that's what we all said in college but cons didn't exist then. Ba dump ba.
He wore my Zorro costume from the last con for the parade and all day Saturday.
I only got a few pics with my costume buddies because there are so many of them now. My costume buddies are the best and I am glad and honored to be a part of their group.

This 17 year old named Rick is a friend of mine. I introduced him, he says, to this crazy costuming world, and I hope I made the right move. So far he's having a blast he says and coming up with great stuff for him seems to be second nature. I picked a nice martial arts fight with him in the parade as Rick O'Conell. He was Nightwing. I knew he was a fellow martial artist and being a true Nightwing type at heart, he quickly struck back with a fury and finesse.
Ok. Everywhere I go everyone guesses I am Mal. Now I know I do look a lttle like the person but tnot the costume so ok how many similarities are there in the costumes? Not a heck of a lot but I spose it's closer than Indiana Jones who the other half think I am supposed to be. And then there's Ash. Ya right. Look, the move made almost 50 mil in the opening eeekend. It's Rick folks. So we both role up our sleaves and are a tad gruff on occasion. Come on people?

I never would have gotten into costuming to make my own suits if I could have afforded, right off the bat, what this guy is wearing right here. This is why I started.
I still do not have an Adam West suit. This guy is the best. Maybe one day.
Nice generic Batman (Bat Guano) and great handling of one of my facades. I was seriously impressed. Top Kudos for creation and originality.

What the heck am I doing? I guess I am ultimately having fun and making a life as opposed to sitting on the sofa watching TV. I have been independently working in the film and video industry since 1990. I have been heavily involved in art all my life. I am artsee1. I do not know what that ultimately means but I am always anxious to wake up the next day and continue to find out.
